Flavour Profile
Review
A hearty but very approachable whiskey that is suited to those that like salt flavours and mild peat. There are warm spicy notes that compliment the salty maritime flavours with warm spice amd hints of vanilla. We loved the Talikser 57 North but this 10 year old is a great all rounder and a classic dram that is hard to beat at this price point. An icon and worth returning to again and again. However, it is worth noting that recent batches are somewhat heavier, with more woody notes missing the floral citrus maritime character of earlier years. It is still an enjoyable whiskey, but not quite as good as it once was.

This whiskey is a great food companion - ideal for a BBQ by the sea or a relaxed dinner with friends. Suited to a wide range of foods, especially anything smoked, this makes a great companion and will not disapoint. Works well in Summer or Winter months but requires a Seasoned palette.
