Quite a step away from your typical single malt. This whisky has stronger notes of barley and rye than the more traditional single malts. A very enjoyable and surprisingly more complex than we were expecting. This may suit those wishing to diversify their range but may not appeal to more traditional single malt drinkers. We enjoyed it more on our second tasting as we were not sure what to expect on the first round. We were quietly impressed by the very different but equally complex flavours.
