Appearance: Sparkling autumn gold to warm amber.
Nose: Heavily peated, with iodine and medicinal notes layered with sweet candy, vanilla, and wood. Touches of mineral, salty seaweed, and licorice.
Palate: A rich oily, and velvety feel, with a powerful, sometimes waxy texture that carries a gentle smoky sweetness, with hints of summer fields.
Finish: Long and warming, combining sweet and smoky oak with other flavours slowly emerging of pepper and spice and black olives.

An intensely peated whisky that delivers a robust flavour profile characterized by secondary maturation in smaller quarter casks. This process blends the classic peat of Laphroaig with a sweet and minerally salty flavour profile. The result is a complex dram that will be intense for newcomers but an enjoyable variation for those that like the 'peat meets sea' style. We're clearly not alone in rating it highly either - it picked up Gold and a 98 point score at the IWSC in 2021.
