Review

This unique expression, finished in casks seasoned with Italian chinotto, delivers a truly amazing whisky that warrants an outstanding rating from us. The chinotto brings through hints of sweet cola and zesty orange, but it's the buttery meringue apple and soft custard notes that really elevate this beyond our expectations. There's a lovely warmth of cinnamon and clove running through the nose and palate, and the whisky was much better than we expected, with an understated confidence that really delivers. It's easy to see why this picked up Gold at the Global World Whisky Masters in 2024 - it's a genuinely standout drop. If chinotto is to your liking, then this is a must buy to add to your bucket list.

This whisky pairs beautifully with:

Occasion

One to impress the most seasoned of whisky drinkers with the best that Australia has to offer - save it for when you want to show off a truly standout dram, rather than an everyday pour.

Right for you?

If there's a gap on your top shelf, you should fill it with this. It's not cheap, and given the accolades it's picked up, we wouldn't blame you for keeping this one mostly to yourself rather than sharing it around.
