Appearance: Light pale straw.
Nose: Pepper and spice with a hint of oak and fresh lemon zest balancing out the salty sea spray and peat smoke.
Palate: A burst of sweet smokey peat followed by a oily maritime saltiness that ends with a lingering Dark Chocolate spicy pepper with a hint of caramel.
Finish: Singing pepper notes with a wash of wood and smoke with hints of citrus spice. Long and warming finish.

This was a bit of a surprise dram. We were not expecting something so complex given it's youth. However the punchier, zestier and lively character works well with the sea salt, smoke, citrus, vanilla and Dark Chocolate making it an instant hit with us.
