This is a very approachable whisky that delivers a rich, sweet and fruity profile with a smooth balance of spice and wood. It reminded us just what a great example of sherried whisky this really is. Smooth, balanced and hitting all the right notes, this whisky was a pleasure to drink. However, it didn't deliver anything new or outstanding either, but does showcase a very solid dram that works well with a wide range of foods and occasions. It's no wonder this scored Gold Outstanding (96 points) at the IWSC in 2021 - it's a genuinely well made whisky even if it plays it safe.
