Speyside Whisky Reviews

Tasted and reviewed by Mike & Paul

Speyside is a small patch of land around the River Spey, but it packs in more distilleries than any other Scotch region, Macallan, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Balvenie and Aberlour among them. It's the region most people picture when they think of single malt.

The house style leans fruity, honeyed and approachable, apple and pear notes over a soft, often sherry-cask-driven sweetness, with peat smoke kept to a minimum or left out entirely. That makes Speyside a good entry point into Scotch, though the top-end sherried expressions from the region are some of the most sought-after whiskies in the world.

Below is every Speyside whisky we've tasted and reviewed, with our full flavour profiles and tasting notes.
