The Highlands cover more ground than any other Scotch region, stretching from the edge of Speyside almost to Campbeltown, and taking in everything from Glenmorangie and The Dalmore in the north to Aberfeldy and Glenfarclas further south.
That size means there's no single Highland style. Coastal distilleries pick up a maritime edge, northern ones can lean rich and heather-honeyed, and a few, like The Dalmore, go deep on sherry-cask richness. If Speyside is Scotch's comfort zone and Islay is its most extreme expression, the Highlands are where you go to find almost everything in between.
Below is every Highland whisky we've tasted and reviewed, with our full flavour profiles and tasting notes.
