If you are looking for the next step, after sweet and single noted Speyside's, this makes a very approachable option as it adds in a subtle salty leather maritime flavour which is sure to appeal. If you have not yet tried something from the west coast, which is dominated by maritime and peat, this makes an excellent stepping stone towards extending your palate to flavours synonymous with the west coast.
