Review
A smooth and very approachable Speyside whisky with rich sherry notes of dried fruits, vanilla, oak, and spice. While many will enjoy its easy drinking style and dessert-like character, we found it a bit lacking in complexity and therefore feels a bit overpriced for what it offers. However, if you are looking for a gift with a certainty of enjoyment, then this is a solid choice that will be well received, but whisky enthusiasts may find better value and more complex alternatives elsewhere. It did pick up Gold Best in Class at the IWSC back in 2010, which goes some way to explaining the reputation, if not quite the price tag.
