This opens up in the glass, so give it a few minutes before sampling. While this is a great drop, we like the Glenfarclas 105 more for its intensity and complexity. However, this 15 year old is a classic and for those that don't like cask strength is an excellent whisky to be enjoyed. It can be a little over the top in the sherried fruit department, so if you like that style, then this is a great choice. Overall, it's a solid dram that is sure to please those that enjoy sherried Speyside whiskies. We're clearly not alone in rating it highly, as it took home Gold at the International Spirits Challenge in 2019.
